cooperation is key
We are moving into a time when cooperation is key. No longer can we put individual needs at the forefront in the hierarchy of values. As we look to nature for guidance, we discover that “survival of the fittest” follows cooperation or synergy as the driving force in the evolutionary process. Major evolutionary shifts are frequently triggered by crisis and we find ourselves in such a time of grave crisis as we experience the greatest mass extinction of species since the extinction of the dinosaurs 65 million years ago.
An arena in which cooperation is critically needed is among organizations that are responding to the environmental crisis that confronts all of us. Organizations can continue to operate independently and do good things, or they can learn to collaborate and together, do great things.
The wisdom of Earth Elders calls us to put collaboration as a primary value in our mission statement. This website will be one vehicle for us to explore how we give form to collaboration. Earth Elders of Songaia/Seattle is committed to forming partnerships and are pleased to have such a relationship with the newly formed organization For the Grand Children. We also have a similar relationship with the Center for Ecozoic Studies (CES) and Second Journey.
