Songaia/Seattle Earth Elders
This group formed after completing the 5-session Imago course on Elders as Earthkeepers. The group plans to meet monthly for reflection, study, sharing activities and project planning. Some members have begun promoting the Imago course as a way of recruiting new members into our group or to form their own. Currently, target audiences include the crone network of Seattle, a UCC church in Kirkland, and a national organization of gay men.
One member, Jim Clark (jimfortheearth@earthlink.net), is offering a series of gatherings on science, spirituality and the present ecological crisis of planet Earth. Act I. Cosmic Evolution, will be an interactive and educational series to explore the revelation of science – transformational moments in the Universe Story – through ritual, storytelling and celebration. Act II of the Universe Story – Life on Earth – will be presented Winter 2008 and Act III – Human Presence – will be presented Spring 2008.
